With a passion for analog recording and creative studio techniques, for more than 15 years, Joao Brandao has worked with a wide range of artists in the studio and has become an influential engineer in the alternative music scene. Constantly looking to present the artist’s vision distinctly, his approach to recording and mixing relies on bold sonics and movements. Often sharing production duties with the artists, he loves to manipulate sounds to enhance the music.

Joao has worked in all kinds of rooms throughout the years and is willing to travel to work on your next album (especially if there’s a tape recorder available). He can also easily do unattended mixes with Audiomovers while you listen in real-time from anywhere in the world.

Joao is the founder and Chief Engineer of Arda Recorders, where he has his private Mix Room.
